The symbolic meaning of this chart is self-evident: citizens in this city, to my knowledge, prefer spending their money on things mentioned above during Chinese New Year.
There never fail to exist numerous factors to explain this phenomenon. First and foremost, the Spring Festival, also known as Chinese New Year, is a Chinese conventional festival which means that all children and adults would enjoy plenty of activities such as exchanging gifts, reuniting with families and visiting friends as well as relatives. Additionally, not only do citizens earn more money but also they now have longer vacations to spend with their family. Last but not least, if they did not return home during the holiday, they would lose the opportunity to get together with their loved ones in this most special festival of the year.
In conclusion, Spring festival is as significant to Chinese people as the foundation is to the high skyscrapers. It is the most essential festival for all Chinese people. Therefore, the best choices are always buying gifts for each other, going home and dining together.
