What looks so clear in the chart is that 37% percent of college students travel to enjoy the natural landscape. The proportion of students who relieve pressure by travelling accounts for 33%, followed by the aim of other causes—making friends, improving independent ability and other aims respectively accounting for 9%, 6%, and 15%. This diagram reveals the purposes of travel polled in a certain university.
Personally, it is my belief that some reasons could explain such phenomenon. To begin with, travel can offer college students a wide range of experience and broaden their horizon. In travelling, they may embrace the picturesque scenery and mingle with the happy throngs while strolling in the old lanes and alleys with great relish. What is more, college students who have to juggle academic study with interpersonal relationship are particularly susceptible to pressure. By touring, they can effectively manage and reduce stress. At last, it seems that the journey can be seen as a cure for their physical and mental health.
As discussed above, it is not surprising to see such differences. From my point of view, college students can try to attach profound meaning to travelling. It is certainly beneficial for us to experience the local culture and refresh both body and mind.
